Women, War & Peace Film Discussion Series
St. John’s Episcopal Church is hosting a four-week film discussion program on the recent PBS
series, Women, War & Peace. Films reveal peace efforts by women in three war-torn countries: Bosnia,
Afghanistan, and Columbia. The fourth film in the series discusses the importance of including women
in the global peace-making process. Film viewings will be followed by a directed discussion. The series
is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about this important issue and ways to get
involved not only at an international level, but also in our own community.
The series is scheduled on four consecutive Wednesdays from January 18 to February 8, 2012 from
6 pm – 8 pm in the basement parish hall. Coffee, tea and cookies will be served.
